Keep a done list
Instead of focusing of what is to come, what needs to be done in the future, Oliver-Burkeman recommends keeping a list of things you have done. You shift your attention from the future to a sense of achievement.
This is the antithesis of Getting-Things-Done-David-Allen-2016.
